Kamal Haasan to flag off ‘K. Balachander Trust’
Kamal Haasan will officially kick-start the operations of K. Balachander Trust he has formed from July 9th, which marks the first death anniversary of the late legendary film-maker. The film industry will come together for a day-long event on July 9th at TN Rajarathinam auditorium in R.A. Puram.
Uttama Villain, where K. Balachander’s made his last appearance, will be screened in the morning. It will be followed by discussions involving celebrities from film, arts and drama sharing their experiences with KB. Four awards have been instituted including K. Balachander Cinema Award for director Manikandan for Kaaka Muttai.
