Kaavaalaa: Singers – Shilpa Rao, Anirudh 👍
Kaavaalaa starts off as a song that did not get onto our minds quickly, but the constant hit value on reels has indeed started off a fantastic rampage for the song all round. The song has now become a sensation all round, with Shilpa Rao’s addictive vocals becoming the major highlight. Anirudh’s trippy beat has made it a hit track, with a slow growth to success.
Jailer Theme
A sweet-sounding theme which came in for the first announcement for the film, and has been a favorite of many since. Good stuff from Ani, in his own range.
Rathamaarey: Singer – Anirudh 👍
An emotional grandfather-grandson song with spectacular lyrics by Vignesh Shivn, it works out as a beautiful song which is different from the rest of the album. Vishal Mishra’s vocals have a different North Indian vibe to it, which makes it sound real nice.
Muthuvel Pandian Theme
Another very good theme from Anirudh that scores on getting the excitement together – the lead to it is sure to turn out in a special way in theatres.
Hukum: Singer – Anirudh 👍
A spectacular song from Anirudh, who hosts a brilliant tune and great lyrics by Super Subu for a track that surely brings in the goosebumps. Definitely our PICK of the album.
Jailer Drill 👍
A pretty cool track that has another organization that is sure to thrill the fans. Lot of themes in the album already and Anirudh ensures they are special in one way or the other.
Jujubee: Singers – Dhee, Anirudh & Anantha Krishnan
A weak track in the album that only stands out due to Dhee’s vocals. There is nothing much to say about this otherwise.
Alappara Theme
Another version of the Hukum track that has an energizing mode on it and clicks the right notes.
On the whole, Jailer is a soundtrack that is not upto the best of Anirudh, but still works well thanks to the high-voltage elevation themes that he brings in. The songs shine in their own ways, and are sure to work with the movie. Jailer Songs Review by Siddarth Srinivas
