High on Score

Vishal Chandrasekhar has kept it simple, neat and clean. We can confirm that he has stuck to the theme of the story, which makes this release a priced asset for Santosh Sivan’s directorial.

  1. Dosa Baila – A ‘gaanapaatu’ with folkish twist. A made-to-be-catchy track and very good attempt.
  2. Tsunami Akka’s Theme – A typical montage track. Vishal Chandrasekhar does a neat job keeping it minimalistic.
  3. The War –A good background score with excellent used of orchestrated instruments.
  4. The Monk – A Silver Lining – As the title hints it’s “a silver lining” in the album. Excellent background composition by Vishal.
  5. Rajini’s Turmoil – The third background score of the album has got its different shades of grey.
  6. Nandan’s theme – Another dark score which hardly takes a minute to finish.
  7. Burning Rage – Vishal Chandrasekhar has proven that he doesn’t take the background score department lightly and gives his best. Probably the best background score in the album.
  8. KolusumIla – Vishal Chandrasekhar shifts his gear to sing in this track. A slow melody which is pleasant and can be categorized as a “dark-horse” movie track.
