“I wanted to cast Rajinikanth as Traffic Ramasamy in his biopic,” reveals Shankar

Speaking at the audio launch of Traffic Ramasamy, a biopic on the social activist Ramasamy starring SA Chandrasekhar in the lead role, director Shankar revealed an interesting news.

“Actually, I’m a big fan of Traffic Ramasamy. He’s an Indian without a knife. I wanted to make his biopic once and thought I will cast Rajinikanth as Traffic Ramasamy. I thought I would go to his place and spend a week with him to prepare the script. Now, the film is coming. When they announced it, I was happy that SAC sir was doing it. He’s the best person to play the role,” said Shankar.

Meanwhile, Shankar’s much-anticipated directorial 2.0 starring Rajinikanth is believed to have been postponed to 2019.
