I needed some rest from the non-stop shooting of 2.0 & Kabali: Rajinikanth

Following a slew of speculations about his unanticipated visit to the US weeks before the release of Kabali, Superstar Rajinikanth has finally opened up about his two-month-long sojourn.

“Since I had been shooting non-stop for Shankar-Lyca’s magnum-opus 2.0 and Pa. Ranjith-Thanu’s emotional, revolutionary and offbeat Kabali, I needed some rest both physically and mentally. I rested two months in the US with my daughter Aishwarya and underwent medical checkups. I’m now hale and hearty, and full of vim and vigor after witnessing first-hand the success of Kabali, which I heard in America. My heartfelt wishes to my long-time friend Thanu and writer-director Pa. Ranjith and his team for creating this movie. I bow my head to fans, youngsters, general public, most importantly women, media, theater owners and distributors for making this film a huge hit. Magizhchi,” said Rajinikanth.

Rajinikanth is expected to resume shooting 2.0 from the first week of August in EVP Studios.
