It’s very rare for a top-shot comedian to appreciate the work of others. Santhanam, who is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Inimey Ippadithaan, agrees that there is nothing permanent in cinema and someone will soon replace him. “Nothing is permanent in cinema. If I am out of it, some much more talented person will come to entertain people. We must accept these changes. I really love the work of Karunakaran and Premgi among the current lot of comedians, and I feel they will go places,” says Santhanam.
“The film is a complete entertainer, and that’s how all my films will be. It’s about a happygo-lucky guy who runs his dad’s business without any worries about the future. The story follows his love life, self-realisation and stuff like that. People will enjoy the film, and at the same time, it has a message,” says Santhanam about the film.
