I approached Atharvaa for Pariyerum Perumal, but it didn’t happen: Mari Selvaraj

At the audio and trailer launch of DNA which took place yesterday, director Mari Selvaraj who came in as one of the guests, spoke about how Atharvaa was the first actor that he approached for the role of Pariyan in his debut film Pariyerum Perumal. However, Atharvaa could not do the film due to his other commitments at that time, and that made the director upset about his debut. Ultimately, the role went to Kathir and the film went onto become a big hit and the director made his name big.

Atharvaa’s DNA had an impressive trailer and is the fourth directorial venture for director Nelson Venkatesan, who is known for his films such as Oru Naal Koothu and Monster. The film is all set to hit the screens on the 20th of this month, alongside Kuberaa.
