Gautham Menon calls Yennai Arindhaal a trilogy to KK & VV

Gautham Menon, though a little hesitant to call Yennai Arindhaal a cop story, says it’s a trilogy to his earlier films Kaakha Kaakha and Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. “In a sense, I can call it a trilogy of my earlier movies Kaakha Kaakha and Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, which were apparently police stories. I have made it as realistic as possible,” says Gautham.

Gautham Menon also adds that the film is tight and fast-paced and narrated in such a way that if you blink, you will miss the continuity. “I am confident that there will be no complaints on the runtime.” Ajith, who usually dubs for threee to four days for a film, took nearly ten days to finish the dubbing for Yennai Arindhaal. “I rode on Ajith’s shoulders to reach the audiences. Ajith is a great human being. More than an anything, he’s a myth and an enigma,” says Gautham.

“Simply put, Yennai Arindhaal is a journey of a 13-year old boy who wants to fulfill his mother’s wish that he become a doctor,” concludes Gautham in his interview.
