“Everyone has the right to criticize anyone’s film,” says Vijay
After the relentless trolling by Vijay’s fervent fans on a popular woman journalist took an ugly turn, Vijay issued a statement and reiterated that everyone has the right to criticize anyone’s film.
Dhanya Rajendran, Editor-in-chief of The News Minute, tweeted saying she walked out of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Harry Met Sejal and added saying Vijay’s Sura was the last movie she had walked out on. And then, all hell broke loose.
“In society, I respect women a lot. Everyone has the right to criticize anyone’s film. Women should never be subjected to vile, demeaning remarks at any time or for any reason. Everyone should respect womanhood. I request everyone to restrain from passing hurtful comments on women on social media,” said Vijay in his official statement.
