Dharani to direct Ram Charan?

Tollywood actor Ram Charan’s Tamil debut has been in the news for a long time. In an interview last year, Ram Charan revealed that he will join hands with Gautham Menon next year for a Tamil-Telugu bi-lingual. Later, he was in talks for Mani Ratnam’s Oh Kadhal Kanmani, but Dulquer Salmaan was roped in to play the lead role eventually. Ram Charan said, “It was not an ideal script for me”.

Now, the latest buzz in the tinsel town is director Dharani, who has been on long hiatus since Osthi, has narrated a script to Ram Charan. Dharani was supposed to work with Ram Charan few years back on a sports-based drama but the project never materialized. Dharani has now confirmed that he has discussed few ideas with Ram Charan and  they are planning to team up for a new project. Sources say it is likely to be an action thriller which Dharani is long-known for.
