Dhanush and Simbu – The new BFF?

Dhanush and Simbu took the microblogging site Twitter by storm last night by tweeting a picture of them being together. Dhanush tweeted saying, “Always there for each other.” STR gave the friendship-rival quotient a new dimension by tweeting “If best rivals can be best friends, it’s us.” The duo took everyone by surprise and the RT spree for both tweets has been endless since from the fans.

Tamil cinema has witnessed rivals in the business every now and then. MGR – Sivaji in the 60s, 70s, Kamal Haasan – Rajnikanth in the later decades and Vijay – Ajith since the last decade. While no pair has earned respect of the fans like the healthy friendship Kamal Haasan and Rajninkanth have been maintaining ever since the latter made his debut, this new rival-turned-bestfriends pair of Dhanush and Simbu looks good and is heartening to see. Let’s see if the best friends take their friendship to the next level and give us a movie together.
