Coronavirus outbreak: TN government shuts down theaters, malls across the state

The Tamil Nadu government has officially announced the complete shut down of theaters and malls effective from today immediately and until March 31st in wake of the global Coronavirus outbreak.

Gyms, amusement parks and swimming pools will also be locked down as a preventive measure to avoid mass gatherings of people. The statement also said that rallies, public meetings, summer camps, conferences, exhibitions, cultural or sporting events will not be allowed until March 31st.

All the movie releases are now expected to be postponed once things get back to normalcy.
