Cable TV operators demand apology from Dhanush

Taking offence is the latest fad in Tamil Nadu. Cable TV operators have raised their voice against the recent Tata Sky commercial that features Dhanush who says, “Switch to Tata Sky to pay only on those days when you watch TV unlike the cable TV operators who take money in lump.”

This remark has irked the cable TV operators. G. Damodharan, general secretary of Tamil Nadu Cable TV Operators Association, has issued a statement condemning the advertisement and requesting to ban the same. “Dhanush should seek a public apology to the thousands of cable operators living in the state. Otherwise, we will start our protest very soon. We also request Tamil Nadu Actors’ Union to take action against Dhanush,” said Damodharan.
