Bigil crosses $1 million in the USA; third consecutive film for Thalapathy Vijay
Bigil has finally touched the coveted $1 million mark in the USA, making it the third consecutive million-dollar grosser for Thalapathy Vijay stateside after Mersal and Sarkar. The total USA gross of the film, including premieres, in five days now stands at $1,002,687 [Rs 7.11 Cr].
While Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have traditionally enjoyed greater success in the USA market, Vijay has gradually gained and earned his audience in the Western nation in the last couple of years. Bigil is yet another substantiation to his ever-expanding market base in the foreign territories.
It must be noted, Superstar Rajinikanth has 7 films under Million Dollar clubs in the USA, Whereas Vijay has 4, Kamal Haasan, Suriya and Vikram has one each.
