Bala’s final warning to Bharathiraja

Directors Bharathiraja and Bala’s spat over Kuttra Parambarai has become murkier as the latter called for a press meet to clear the air yesterday. “I have been hurt more. The story Kootttaanjoru written by Vela Ramamurthy was published as Kuttraparambarai in the next edition. I’m going to make a film from based on that story. But what Bharathiraja & RatnaKumar are making is based on historical events and facts. Anyone can make a film based on Jallianwala Bagh massacre, what they are making is such an effort. What I do is different,” said Bala.

“I had already made it clear to Bharathiraja that I’m not making Kuttra Parambarai‘s history. Still Bharathiraja gave interviews with belittling comments on me like, ‘I hope Bala won’t eat my spittle’. I want to convey two things for once and all. One – What he is making is different and my story is different. My film’s name is not Kuttra Parambarai. Second – I forewarn Bharathiraja and Ratna Kumar. Let us mind our businesses. Stop meddling in our affairs, it will definitely end sour,” said a miffed Bala.
