Avengers: Endgame secures biggest opening day in Chennai, beating Petta, Viswasam

The Hollywood box-office juggernaut Avengers: Endgame has secured the biggest opening day figure in 2019 in Chennai city, beating the likes of top star films such as Rajinikanth’s Petta and Thala Ajith’s Viswasam. 

2019 Top Opening Day Chennai City Gross:

Avengers: Endgame 1.17 Cr

Petta 1.12 Cr

Viswasam 0.88 Cr

Kanchana 3 0.77 Cr

Infinity War grossed nearly Rs 32 crores in Tamil Nadu alone and the state also emerged as the third top-grossing market for the MCU film in India. Endgame is now expected to breach past the Rs 50 crore mark if it sustains well in the second week with good showtimes.
