ATMUS acquires USA distribution rights of Vijay – Atlee’s Mersal

Thalapathy Vijay starrer ‘Mersal’ USA rights have been acquired by the leading distributor ATMUS Entertainment in association with US Tamil LLC.

Mersal is the new action thriller from Director Atlee of Raja Rani and Theri fame which shows three different shades of Tamil Cinema’s most happening star, Thalapathy Vijay as Jallikattu Thamizhan, Magician, and Doctor. Acting alongside each of his avatars are Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Nithya Menon. The music for this film is scored by top music director A.R. Rahman.

Mersal is Vijay’s most ambitious and most expensive budget movie till date. Set at a whopping 135 crore rupees, Mersal is Vijay’s 61^st movie and Sri Thenandal Studio Limited’s 100^th production. The movie will release in both Tamil and Telugu as a simultaneous release all over the USA for Diwali with premieres scheduled on Tuesday, October 17^th.
