Amitabh Bachchan lends his voice for Dhanush

Dhanush’s upcoming Hindi film Shamitabh has been progressing well and is inching towards completion. That Dhanush plays a deaf and mute artiste in the film is well-known. The latest news is that Amitabh Bachchan, who plays a pivotal role, is the voice of Dhanush in the film.

“Dhanush plays a deaf and mute junior artist in the film and Amitabh Bachchan will do the voiceover for Dhanush’s character. Among the scenes that were recently shot was one where Dhanush, after a long struggle, gets his due. In this sequence, he has won an award and is shown walking the red carpet as well,” says a source. Directed by R.Balki of Paa fame, Shamitabh marks the debut of Akshara Haasan, the youngest daughter of Kamal Haasan.
