The single track from Vijay – Atlee’s Mersal, Aalaporan Tamizhan has topped all charts and emerged as the no. 1 song in India The song composed by AR Rahman and written by Vivek transcended barriers and occupied the top slot on Google Trends, surpassing the searches on the keyword ‘Lunar Eclipse’.

The song crooned by Kailash Kher, Sathya Prakash, Deepak and Pooja AV has also registered good plays on popular audio streaming portal Saavn. The movie, which is slated for Diwali release, is nearing the final stages of shooting with a song being filmed on Samantha and Vijay this week. The audio launch of the film is scheduled to happen on August 20th.
