Kanchana 2 is a stand-alone film: Lawrence

Raghava Lawrence, who has starred in the lead role and directed Kanchana 2, says it’s a stand-alone film and not a sequel to his earlier blockbuster Kanchana. “Even Muni and Kanchana did not have any connection in terms of the story. I just retained the story because audience would connect with it. The only thing common to all the three films is the ‘lovable ghost’,” says Lawrence.

The film is likely to release on either April 10th or 17th by Sri Thenandal Films. It has Taapsee Pannu playing the lead heroine and Nithya Menen in a prominent role.
