Scene Trailer: Suriya faces off against Naslen in a crime comedy

Suriya plays a quirky police officer drawn into a murder investigation, while Naslen appears as his ruthless adversary and Nazriya takes on an action-packed role.

The much-awaited Scene Trailer is finally out, offering a closer look at Suriya’s upcoming film directed by Jithu Madhavan. The trailer introduces a quirky police officer, a ruthless antagonist and a series of unexpected developments. Blending crime, mystery, action and comedy, the film promises a different kind of theatrical experience.

Suriya plays DSP Inbaraj, a police officer who appears to have had enough of his job. The trailer opens with him deciding to leave the force, much to the surprise of his colleagues. However, his plans take an unexpected turn when his senior officer, played by Lal, seeks his help with a murder investigation. Inbaraj is then drawn into a case involving a dangerous criminal.

Naslen plays Eeswaran, the antagonist who appears to be a formidable match for Inbaraj. The trailer hints at a tense face-off between the two characters. Eeswaran is portrayed as a cold and calculating individual, while Inbaraj approaches the situation with his usual confidence and unconventional attitude. Their contrasting personalities add an interesting dimension to the central conflict.

Nazriya Nazim plays Maya, whose introduction brings another layer of mystery to the story. Initially, the trailer suggests that she enters Inbaraj’s life as a house help. However, she is later seen taking part in action sequences and playing an active role in the investigation. Her character appears to have more to offer than the initial glimpse suggests.

The promotional video also highlights Jithu Madhavan’s familiar blend of humour and unusual characters. Even as the story revolves around a murder investigation, several sequences feature Suriya’s quirky behaviour and comic timing. The trailer also features a callback to the actor’s popular Singam dialogue, adding a nostalgic touch for fans.

Sushin Shyam’s music further complements the film’s contrasting moods, while the visuals hint at an engaging mix of action and comedy. The film also features Anandraj, Raj Priyan and others in important roles.

Produced by Suriya and Jyotika under the banners of Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment, Scene is written and directed by Jithu Madhavan. The technical team includes cinematographer Vineeth Augustian, editor Ajmal Sabu and action choreographer Chethan D’Souza, with Sushin Shyam composing the music.

Scene is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on November 6, 2026, coinciding with Diwali. The film marks Suriya’s third theatrical release of the year after Karuppu and Vishwanath and Sons.
