DC Release Trailer: Lokesh Kanagaraj’s action drama promises a violent tale of love, revenge and survival

The makers of DC have unveiled the DC release trailer days back, offering a glimpse into Arun Matheswaran’s gritty action drama ahead of its theatrical release on August 7. Headlined by Lokesh Kanagaraj in his first full-fledged lead role, the film also stars Wamiqa Gabbi and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy in pivotal characters.

The trailer introduces Devadas (Lokesh Kanagaraj) and Chandra (Wamiqa Gabbi), who find themselves caught in a dangerous web of crime, revenge and violence. Their journey turns even more intense as a determined police officer relentlessly pursues them following the murder of a fellow cop. At the same time, another criminal gang enters the picture after stealing a cache of discarded firearms, creating multiple conflicts that eventually collide.

Amid the relentless action, the trailer also hints at an emotional side of Devadas’ life through his bond with Parvathi, played by Sanjana Krishnamoorthy. However, every relationship appears to be overshadowed by bloodshed, betrayal and the consequences of revenge, setting the stage for an intense cinematic experience.

Arun Matheswaran has co-written the dialogues with Franklin Jacob, while Arun Ranjan has contributed to the additional screenplay. The film marks Anirudh Ravichander’s maiden collaboration with the filmmaker, with the composer recently releasing a 15-track soundtrack for the film.

DC features cinematography by Mukesh G, editing by GK Prasanna and action choreography by PC Stunts. Presented by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, the film is all set to hit theatres worldwide on August 7.
