Bison Kaalamaadan Success Meet Speech: Dhruv Vikram, Rajisha, and Pasupathy reflect on the journey

Dhruv Vikram spoke from the heart, lauding director Mari Selvaraj’s perseverance, the team’s unity, and the emotional journey that made Bison Kaalamaadan a deeply personal triumph.

The team behind Bison Kaalamaadan gathered today for an emotional and jubilant success meet, celebrating the film’s powerful run at the box office and its deep impact on audiences. The film, directed by Mari Selvaraj, has not only resonated strongly with critics but has also crossed major commercial milestones, now racing toward the 50 crore global mark.

For a film that blends raw emotion, sportsmanship, and social commentary, Bison has found its place in the hearts of audiences across languages and regions. At the success meet, the cast and crew spoke with heartfelt pride, reflecting on a journey filled with creative passion, sacrifice, and social purpose.

Music Director Nivas K. Prasanna: “This film helped me understand myself.”

Music director Nivas K. Prasanna, whose work has been widely praised for elevating the emotional fabric of Bison, shared how profoundly the project had touched him.

“I have done several films since entering the industry, but Bison is one that truly helped me understand myself. It’s one of my best works,” he said with a smile. “Just this morning, I went out to buy a computer mouse, and a man came running to me with tears in his eyes saying how deeply the music had affected him while watching the film. That moment reminded me why I make music.”

Nivas went on to thank director Mari Selvaraj and Think Music’s Santhosh for their collaboration. “Music should uplift people. That’s something I learned from this film – it’s not just art, it’s a social responsibility.”

Actress Rajisha Vijayan: “Our dream became a reality.”

Actress Rajisha Vijayan, who delivered a stirring performance in the film, expressed heartfelt gratitude to both the media and audiences for embracing Bison Kaalamaadan.

“I want to thank every member of the media who worked hard to take this film to the audience,” she said. “Every time we shoot a film, we dream that it will reach people and make a difference. With Bison, that dream became a reality.”

Rajisha also extended her thanks to the families of the crew members who stood by the team during the making of the film. “Their support was as important as ours. I am deeply grateful to Mari Selvaraj sir, to my co-star Dhruv Vikram, and to every single person who made this journey possible,” she concluded emotionally.

Actor Pasupathy: “Don’t compare Dhruv to Vikram – he has his own path.”

Veteran actor Pasupathy, who earned high praise for his commanding role in Bison, reflected on the film’s creative depth and the mentorship of Mari Selvaraj.

“I must thank director Pa Ranjith and Mari Selvaraj for constantly striving toward a meaningful goal. People have spoken so much about my character, but the credit belongs to Mari sir – he gave the soul to it,” Pasupathy said.

He also addressed a recurring question from the media about working with both Chiyaan Vikram and Dhruv Vikram. “In Kochi, someone asked me to compare the two. Please don’t do that,” he said with a smile. “Dhruv is young and immensely talented. Don’t burden him with comparisons. He has his own huge space ahead – let him run freely and make his mark.”

Pasupathy also shared his fondness for co-star Rajisha Vijayan, adding warmly, “She is a beautiful actress, not just on-screen, but as a person. She plays my daughter in the film, and honestly, I feel the same bond off-screen too. She brought such infectious energy to the sets.”

Dhruv Vikram: “Mari sir worked with the heart of an athlete.”

Lead actor Dhruv Vikram delivered one of the most emotional speeches of the day. Clearly overwhelmed by the success of Bison Kaalamaadan, Dhruv began by setting aside his prepared notes. “I usually come with a list for my speeches, but today I want to speak from my heart,” he said.

He first thanked the media and technical team for their unwavering support. “Editor Sakthi’s work has been a blessing for this film,” Dhruv said. “Master Dhilip Subbarayan and his stunt team brought incredible realism to the action sequences. We took real hits and bruises, and that effort shows on screen.”

He also took a moment to appreciate producer Aditi (Neelam Studios) for standing as a pillar of strength throughout the production. “Without her belief and backing, this film would not have reached where it has,” Dhruv added.

In a heartfelt aside, Dhruv congratulated Kannagi Nagar’s Karthika for winning a gold medal recently, calling her victory a “moment of pride that resonates with the film’s spirit.”

Finally, Dhruv spoke about his deep admiration for director Mari Selvaraj. “He has taught me life lessons I will never forget. During training for the matches, he would run alongside us – even warm up on the field. He broke his hand during the shoot but never stopped working. Seeing his dedication moved me to tears. No matter how much I thank him, it will never be enough.”

Director Mari Selvaraj: “This success belongs to faith and determination.”

Mari Selvaraj began his speech by expressing heartfelt gratitude to the media, acknowledging their consistent support and belief in his vision. “I want to thank the media first,” he said. “The people and the press have always placed immense faith in me. When we make a film for society, it’s important that the media stands by it. During the press screening, I was waiting outside like a student waiting for exam results. When I saw the smiles and heard the appreciation, it became one of the most unforgettable nights of my life.”

Reflecting on the immense trust placed in him by his cast, Mari was deeply emotional. “Many actors in this film believed in me wholeheartedly,” he said. “I told Dhruv Vikram, ‘You must trust that Mari Selvaraj will deliver on his promise.’ He gave two and a half years of his life to this project, and his dedication is one of the main reasons behind our success.”

He also extended gratitude to senior actors Pasupathy, Ameer, and Lal, praising their humility and faith. Sharing an anecdote about casting challenges, Mari revealed, “We approached several actresses for the sister’s role, but many declined it. When I called Rajisha Vijayan, she immediately agreed without hesitation. She worked incredibly hard for this film.”

The director went on to appreciate Anupama Parameswaran for her grace and professionalism. “Originally, her character was central to a version of the story that focused on Kittan’s love and rebirth. When we changed the script, her role’s length also changed – yet she graciously agreed to stay on. That generosity moved me deeply.”

Mari also spoke fondly of composer Nivas K. Prasanna, calling him “a soul filled with love.” He added, “Even when I scolded him, he continued to love me. There’s a big future waiting for him.”

Concluding his address, Mari reaffirmed his artistic conviction: “I will continue to make films that stand against caste and inequality. The determination I had while making Bison Kaalamaadan, and the determination Dhruv Vikram had to prove himself through this story – that combined spirit is what made this film what it is today.”

A Celebration Beyond Numbers

While Bison Kaalamaadan continues its triumphant run, inching closer to the 50 crore global mark, the success meet was less about numbers and more about unity, respect, and gratitude. The event stood as a testament to the team’s shared vision to make cinema that speaks from the heart and to the heart.

In an industry often defined by glamour and competition, Bison Kaalamaadan has become a shining example of honest storytelling powered by collective effort. The joy in the room was palpable – not just the joy of success, but of having created something meaningful that audiences will carry with them long after the lights go down.
