Paranthu Po: Director Ram opens up on the film and its USP!

At the press and media meet of Paranthu Po which took place yesterday, director Ram introduced the film to audiences as a very free flowing and lighthearted drama that focuses on a family of 3 and their problems in the real world. The film is very different to Ram’s other ventures in the past, and seems to have a colorful vibe to it.

Director Ram said “I have made a globalization trilogy earlier with films such as Katradhu Tamizh, Thangameenkal and Taramani. And then I have made Peranbu which is entirely different. However, Paranthu Po is a different film from all of these, which will be in a lighter mood, and have many fun moments. Though we have pictured the film as an appa-payyan story until now, it will also have a wonderful relationship between the son and the mom,” said the director.

The film is said to have 19 songs composed by Santhosh Dhayanidhi, and has premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival, receiving a very good response.
