2.0 actor Akshay Kumar offers financial assistance to Mumbai’s popular theater

Akshay Kumar, one of the biggest contributors from the Indian film industry for the coronavirus relief fund, has provided financial assistance to the employees of Mumbai’s famous movie theatre Gaiety-Galaxy, which is struggling under the lock-down.

Sources say the owner of the theatre, Manoj Desai, had taken a bank loan to pay salaries to his staff. Apparently, Akshay called up Manoj and promised him that he would take care of the salaries of all the staff. This heartening gesture of the actor has received laurels on Twitter and Facebook from all quarters.
