Popular director-producer bags rights for Puli in Karnataka
Even as the shooting of Vijay’s Puli directed by Chimbudevan is progressing at a brisk pace, the business of the film has already kick-started. The distribution rights for Karnataka have been sold at a fancy price to veteran Kannada director-actor-producer S Narayan, who is best known for directing a range of stars in Sandalwood including Ambareesh, Ramesh Aravind, Vishnuvardhan, Puneeth Rajkumar, Sudeep and Ganesh. The distributors believe that the presence of Sudeep in Puli will boost the box-office prospects of the film in addition to Vijay’s star power in the area.
Directed by Chimbudevan, Puli has a formidable all-star cast including Vijay, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani, Sudeep and Sridevi Boney Kapoor in important roles. It has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
