Kayal to hit screens in August

The shooting for Prabhu Solomon’s Kayal is going in full swing and the team is looking forward to wrap up by this month end and kick-start post-production work by July. The climax is said to be highlight of the film. It is connected to the tsunami. “This year marks the tenth anniversary of Tsunami in India. The climax deals about the lost love and lives of people. Kayal will hit screens by August end,” says Prabhu Solomon.

The film has been shot in 60 picturesque locations across the length and breadth of the country including Kanyakumari, Nagercoil, Mysore, Shimoga, Meghalaya, Leh and Ladakh. Debutante Anandhi plays the titular role. Prabhu Solomon’s next will be a full-on action film. He doesn’t want people to brand him as a director who makes only light-hearted films and looking for a makeover. “Talks are on with a leading production company. Otherwise, I have plans to do a film like Life of Pi,” reveals Prabhu.
