Dhanush – Vetrimaaran’s Kaaka Muttai goes to Rome Film Fest

After having its world premiere in the Toronto International Film Festival last month, Kaaka Muttai, co-produced by Dhanush and Vetrimaaran will be screened in Rome Film Festival next. The film received positive reviews from its premiere in TIFF and will be screened in Alice Nella Citt – a parallel and independent section of the Rome Film Festival starting October 16th. It is also in contention for Taodue Camera D’ORO Prize for the best debut film.

Directed by Manikandan, Kaaka Muttai narrates the story of two young kids living in a slum and features a bunch of newcomers along with senior actors Baby Antony and Ishwarya Rajesh in important roles. Jointly produced by Vetrimaaran’s Grass Root Film Company and Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films, it has music by GV Prakash.
