After crossing 50 crore worldwide, the Youth team hosted a heartfelt thanks giving meet where cast and crew shared emotional moments, gratitude, and behind-the-scenes memories from the film’s journey.

Following the remarkable box office success of Youth, which recently crossed the 50-crore mark worldwide, the film’s team came together to celebrate the achievement at a grand Youth Thanks Giving Meet held on Tuesday, March 31st. The event turned into an emotional gathering as the cast and crew expressed gratitude to audiences, media, and everyone who supported the film’s journey.

Producer Karuppiah C. Ram reflects on unexpected success

Producer Karuppiah C. Ram shared that the film’s journey unfolded rapidly, from finalizing director-actor Ken Karunaas to organizing the thanksgiving celebration. He revealed that Youth was initially planned as a modest release across 150–200 screens, making its current box office performance a pleasant surprise.

He credited a chance meeting with actor Dulquer Salmaan during a Chennai shoot for helping the film secure a wider release in Kerala. Emphasizing the importance of appreciation over commercial achievements, Karuppiah stated that conducting a thanksgiving event felt necessary to acknowledge every contributor behind the film’s success.

The producer also spoke about his strong professional bond with Ken Karunaas, noting that mutual trust played a key role in shaping the project. He highlighted that Ken was made a profit-sharing partner through Street Boy Studios from the beginning, praising the filmmaker’s loyalty despite receiving offers from larger production houses.

Nalini praises the team’s spirit and Ken’s direction

Veteran actress Nalini applauded the producer’s habit of personally acknowledging every contributor, expressing hope that his production banner would grow into a legacy studio similar to iconic Tamil cinema institutions. She also appreciated Suraj Venjaramoodu’s performance and lauded Ken Karunaas’ directorial skills, describing him as a filmmaker capable of managing multiple performances simultaneously with clarity and confidence.

Devadarshini appreciates creative freedom on set

Actress Devadarshini described the occasion as an overwhelming and joyful moment. She commended the producer for allowing Ken to execute the film exactly as envisioned without commercial compromises. She also praised cinematographer Vicky for his uncompromising approach to visuals and shared her happiness about working alongside Suraj Venjaramoodu and Nalini once again.

Calling Ken an “all-rounder,” she noted his positive attitude and ability to manage large crowd sequences efficiently, adding that the entire team functioned like a close-knit group united by the filmmaker’s vision.

Meenakshi Dinesh shares personal takeaway

Actress Meenakshi Dinesh recalled a memorable moment while traveling to the event when a cab driver recognized her character from the film, calling it her biggest takeaway from Youth. She described the team as a family and credited the film’s cinematography for enhancing her on-screen presence.

Suraj Venjaramoodu calls film a special experience

Actor Suraj Venjaramoodu expressed gratitude to Ken Karunaas for giving him a memorable experience through Youth. He spoke about recognizing the director’s passion during the narration stage itself and predicted a bright future for both Ken and producer Karuppiah.

Suraj also shared that actor Silambarasan personally called him after watching the film to appreciate his performance, calling it a moment he deeply cherished.

Ken Karunaas gets emotional about his journey

Director-actor Ken Karunaas delivered an emotional speech, stating that reaching audiences is often more challenging than making a film. He thanked the promotional team, media, and supporters for expanding the film’s reach and acknowledged several individuals who played crucial roles in bringing the project to life.

Ken expressed gratitude to his parents, collaborators, and technicians, especially cinematographer Vicky and the art department for shaping the film’s visual identity. He also thanked the cast members for trusting him despite his limited experience working with leading actresses.

Reflecting on audience reception, Ken admitted he never anticipated such overwhelming acceptance. Visiting theatres and witnessing crowd reactions left him deeply moved, as audiences embraced the film beyond expectations. He added that he carefully noted critical feedback and intends to apply those learning to his future projects.

Closing his speech on an emotional note, Ken said the team had lived with the film for nearly three years and felt both proud and nostalgic as its theatrical run gradually nears completion, thanking Youth for transforming his dream of becoming a hero into reality.
