With Love pre-release event held in Chennai ahead of February 6 release

At the With Love pre-release event in Chennai, the team shared heartfelt moments, praised each other’s contributions, and expressed confidence in the film.

With Love, which is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on February 6 in Tamil and Telugu, held its pre-release event in Chennai on Tuesday, with the cast and crew sharing heartfelt reflections about the film and their journey.

Music director Sean Roldan described With Love as a special project for several reasons. Recalling his first meeting with Abishan Jeevinth during Tourist Family, Sean said Abishan was initially hesitant but surprised him during narration by enacting scenes and revealing a completely new side as a performer. He expressed confidence that Abishan would go far as an actor. Sean also praised Anaswara Rajan, admitting he never expected to whistle for a female character but became a fan of her performance. Calling himself a lover of romantic comedies, he said With Love stood out for handling its subject with depth while remaining a breezy entertainer. He also spoke warmly about co-producer Soundarya Rajinikanth, calling her grounded and a close friend in the industry.

Director Madhan credited his assistant directors and shared an emotional account of how Abishan came on board as the lead. He revealed that Abishan initially encouraged him to cast another actor, as he was under pressure awaiting his own directorial debut. After Tourist Family released and Abishan’s stature grew, Madhan hesitated to approach him again until a friend intervened. Eventually, Abishan agreed, following which producer Magesh Raj and Soundarya Rajinikanth came on board. Madhan said Soundarya approved the project even before he completed narrating the second half.

Actor Anaswara Rajan thanked the entire team and said the warmth she received in Chennai made the city feel like home. She expressed gratitude to Soundarya Rajinikanth for treating her like a sister and described Madhan as one of the most endearing directors she has worked with. She added that the on-screen chemistry between her character Monisha and Abishan’s Sathya was rooted in their off-screen friendship.

Producer Magesh Raj, addressing the media after eight months, said the team was confident about the film and believed audiences would embrace it. He praised Abishan as a pure soul and credited Rajinikanth for helping Abishan overcome his insecurities. He also spoke about the transformation Soundarya Rajinikanth would undergo after With Love and urged that opportunities be created for the assistant directors who worked on the film.

An emotional Soundarya Rajinikanth said it had been 16 years since she last produced a film, recalling Goa. She spoke about the responsibility of Thalaivar 173, expressed faith in director Cibi, and assured it would be a powerful film. She affirmed that With Love was entirely Madhan’s vision, praised Abishan as a star, and described Magesh Raj as a producer who lives in the moment.

Closing the event, Abishan Jeevinth thanked Rajinikanth, recalling how the Superstar personally encouraged him to act, breaking his self-doubt. He said he decided to do With Love without hesitation after that conversation and will dedicate the film’s success to him. Thanking Madhan, Abishan said he was proud to be part of the film and expressed confidence that the director would earn even greater respect after its release.

With Love releases worldwide on February 6 in Tamil and Telugu.
