The internet is brimming with news on ALS Icebucket Challenge, a campaign started to raise awareness about the medical condition ‘Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis’ and to collect funds for the ALS Foundation. It works like this – If someone throws you with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, you either dump a bucket of ice water on your head or donate to the ALS Foundation. But, celebrities across the world have been doing both and their ice bucket challenge videos are going viral on all social media platforms.
Hansika was one of the first in Kollywood to take up the challenge and she nominated few of her fans. Later, Karthika Nair challenged her Vaa Deal co-star Arun Vijay, who sportively took it up and nominated his Thala 55 crew, Trisha, Venkat Prabhu and Harris Jayaraj. “I came to know of it and immediately proceeded to carry it out. We used about 15 litres of ice water and it was unimaginably cold. And yes, I did make a contribution to the foundation too,” said Arun Vijay to a daily.
