Superstar Rajinikanth has addressed the speculation surrounding his absence from social media birthday wishes for Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay.
Following Vijay’s birthday celebrations, several fans noticed that Rajinikanth had not posted a public greeting on social media. The absence of a message sparked discussions online, with many questioning whether the veteran actor had intentionally avoided wishing the Chief Minister.
However, Rajinikanth has now put those rumours to rest. Speaking to reporters after the launch event of his upcoming film Dharman, Rajinikanth was asked why he had not shared a birthday message for Vijay on social media.
Responding to the question, the actor revealed that he had personally spoken to Vijay and conveyed his wishes directly. According to Rajinikanth, there was no need for a public post because he had already wished Vijay over a phone call. His brief response immediately ended the speculation that had been circulating on social media over the past few days.
This is not the first time Rajinikanth has spoken about Vijay in recent months. Following Vijay’s victory in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections and his rise as Chief Minister, Rajinikanth publicly congratulated him and dismissed rumours suggesting he was unhappy about the development.
The Superstar had clarified that he was neither involved in politics nor jealous of Vijay’s achievement. He had also praised Vijay’s accomplishment, describing it as a remarkable milestone achieved at a relatively young age.
Rajinikanth’s clarification came during the launch event of Dharman, his upcoming film directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International.
