Vivegam Movie Preview

Thala Ajith’s last film Vedalam released in November 2015. It’s been close to two years since the Tamil audiences watched the actor on the big screen. Now, the unprecedented anticipation and fanfare for Vivegam, which marks his third collaboration with director Siva, is palpable.

The advance bookings for the film have been happening at a crazy pace with tickets selling like hot cakes on popular booking portals like Book My Show and Ticket New, who have been luring audiences with various promo codes to enjoy the movie, which is set for release on August 24th, Thursday.

Plot of Vivegam

“We all would have been in a situation where we felt completely lost, with no ray of hope, times that tested our perseverance. This film deals with that, the strength of will. The ‘Never Ever Give Up’ teaser dialogue makes it evident. I have received many personal messages about how this dialogue made people take one more step in life. I was overwhelmed and felt that I am complete as a director after I read such stories of inspiration,” director Siva told in an interview.

Vivegam marks the straight Tamil debut of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi, who summarised his working experience with Ajith Kumar as ‘fantastic.’

My character’s name in ‘Vivegam’ is Aryan who is close friends with Ajith anna in the movie. Everyone says this looks like an international movie but I must say ‘Vivegam’ is a Tamil movie truly in international standards. I met Ajith sir for the first time in Bulgaria during the shoot and he thanked me for doing this movie. He was so simple,” said Vivek Oberoi.

Editor Ruben: Vivegam is the most challenging film I’ve ever worked on

Editor Ruben, one of the very few technicians to work simultaneously in Thala and Thalapathy projects, said Vivegam is one of the most challenging films he’s ever worked on.

I feel relaxed now because it is very satisfying after accomplishing such an enormous task. ‘Vivegam’ is the most challenging film I have ever done. I have worked for almost thirty films till date, but the effort and time I had put in for this movie is equal to none,” said Ruben.

“Vivegam does focus on the husband-wife relationship,” says Kajal Aggarwal

“I’m not playing a Bengali in the film as everyone has suggested. I play a proper Tamilian girl. The film does focus on the husband-wife relationship and the outcome has been great,” said Kajal Aggarwal.

Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Vivegam has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The album has been already declared a chartbuster and is topping various popular music streaming platforms.
