Vishal completes a decade in the industry

Today marks ten fruitful years for Vishal in the industry. It was on this day his first film Chellamae got released ten years back. Having completed 15 films as a lead hero, Vishal’s role in Lingusamy’s Sandakozhi is still afresh and memorable. Though a large chunk of his filmography is occupied by action flicks, his most amazing performance till date came in an offbeat film Avan Ivan directed by Bala, where he essayed the role of a squint-eyed. His performance in Avan Ivan made heads turn and propelled him as an actor. And, his Pandiyanaadu turned the box-office tables last year though it clashed with biggies on the same day.

His recent efforts to combat piracy from ground zero and his offer to act for free to construct a permanent office for Film Artistes’ Association has earned him great respect from the film fraternity. His vehement actions against piracy and requests to top stars like Rajinikanth and Vijay to voice against this menace has made him the cynosure of all eyes in the media few days back. Vishal’s homebanner Vishal Film Factory who has hitherto been producing and distributing his own films, has also started acquiring others’ films with Suseenthiran – Vishnu’s Jeeva which is set for release on Sep 26th. He has recently launched his audio label V Music which will be spearheaded by his sister.

His upcoming films include Hari’s Poojai – which is slated for release this Diwali and Sundar C’s Aambala. However, Vishal – the director is yet to come and he has expressed his desire to direct Vijay in many interviews time and again. Not to forget Vishal debuted as an assistant director to Arjun before he plunged into playing a lead hero in Chellame.

Only Kollywood wishes Vishal for completing a decade in Tamil cinema and for more awesome endeavors to follow.
