Vishal and Sundar C reunite for a comical mass entertainer; their fourth collaboration takes shape

Vishal and Sundar C are teaming up once again, marking their fourth collaboration after delivering successful outings such as Aambala, Madha Gaja Raja, and Action. The upcoming project, tentatively titled Vishal 36, is said to be a full fledged comical mass commercial entertainer – a genre that has long been Sundar C’s strong suit.

According to early reports, the film will feature Kayadu Lohar and Tamannaah Bhatia in pivotal roles, with music is said to be composed by Vijay Antony, who was also scored music for Sundar C – Vishal’s earlier outing Madha Gaja Raja. Production is expected to begin soon, with a Summer 2026 theatrical release being planned.

This new film is expected to balance Sundar C’s trademark humor and action, paired with Vishal’s energetic screen presence, offering audiences an out-and-out entertainer. The duo’s proven chemistry in blending slick action with mass appeal makes this project one of the more anticipated Tamil releases for 2026.

Interestingly, Vishal 36 will be one of three major releases for Sundar C in 2026, making it a landmark year for the filmmaker. His lineup reportedly includes:

• Mookuthi Amman 2: A 100 crore devotional fantasy comedy starring Nayanthara, Regina Cassandra, Duniya Vijay, Urvashi, and Yogi Babu, with music by HipHop Thamizha.
• Vishal Film: The upcoming comical mass entertainer with Vishal in the lead, gearing up for Summer 2026.
• Superstar Rajinikanth Film: A high-profile commercial entertainer produced by Kamal Haasan, with an announcement expected on November 7th. The film is planned for a Diwali 2026

With three distinct genres: action, fantasy, and mass comedy – Sundar C seems poised to dominate 2026 with a versatile and star-studded slate of films.
