Sithara Entertainments unveiled the first look of Suriya’s character from his upcoming film, tentatively titled Suriya 46, coinciding with the actor’s birthday. Directed by Venky Atluri, who has also written the screenplay, the film co-stars Mamitha Baiju, Raveena Tandon, and Radikaa Sarathkumar.
The poster features a rugged Suriya in a black t-shirt and jacket, exuding intensity. Producer Naga Vamsi shared the image on X, calling Suriya “an actor who keeps setting the bar higher” and promised fans a return of the “vintage Suriya garu.” Composer GV Prakash also shared the poster, using a fire emoticon to hint at the film’s tone.
Director Venky Atluri, in a recent interview, revealed that Suriya’s character draws inspiration from his iconic role as Sanjay Ramasamy in Ghajini (2005). The film marks Raveena Tandon’s comeback to Tamil cinema after over two decades, her last appearance being in Aalavandhan (2001).
The technical team includes editor Navin Nooli and cinematographer Nimish Ravi. While the production team remains tight-lipped on further plot details, it is reported that Suriya has wrapped up the second production schedule.
