Vijay Sethupathi’s next production venture Merku Thodarchi Malai goes on floors today in Theni district. The film is helmed by debutant fimmaker Lenin Bharathi, a long-term associate of director Suseenthiran. Lenin also co-wrote Suseenthiran’s Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer which earned wide critical acclaim. Merku Thodarchi Malai features newcomers and has music by Isaignani Ilayairaja. Eswar, cinematographer of Ram’s Taramani, wields camera for the film.
Merku Thodarchi Malai is Vijay Sethupathi’s second film under his homebanner Vijay Sethupathi Productions. His debut production Orange Mittai, which he funds in association with B.Ganesh of Common Man Presents, is currently under post-production.
