Venkatesh to star in Salim’s Telugu remake

Vijay Antony’s Salim, a socio-political thriller, directed by Nirmal Kumar, is all set to be remade in Tollywood. Vijay Antony, who earlier had plans to dub the film in Telugu, has decided to drop the plan since Nirmal Kumar was approached by Tollywood star Venkatesh to act in the film’s remake. Apparently, Venkatesh expressed his interest to act in the film to Nirmal Kumar after impressed with it.

Salim is one of the few films which earned good money at the box-office this quarter. The cast and crew of the remake is yet to be finalized. It is not certain if Vijay Antony, who composed music for the original, will score for the remake or not.
