Venkat Prabhu is not part of Saroja 2

As we reported earlier, Saroja 2 will be directed by Kantha Priyan, an erstwhile associate of Venkat Prabhu. After few misleading stories in a section of media, Venkat Prabhu has put an end to the baseless rumors that he will be helming the project.

“It is an absolutely baseless rumour. I’m on the verge of giving finishing touches to Chennai 28 II innings. My subsequent projects are all set to be announced and this plan of Saroja 2 is not at all in my scheme of things. My concentration is on Chennai 28 Part 2 now and the focus is on to recreate the magic of 2007 again in 2016,” said Venkat Prabhu in an official statement.
