Speculations are rife in K’town that Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain, which was earlier reported to be a November release, is likely to get pushed to early 2015. It is currently under post-production stage under the supervision of Ramesh Aravind, who earlier confirmed us in an interview that the film has a lot of visual effects and will be released in November. Now, the trade sources suggest that Thirupathi Brothers is planning to release the film in the first quarter of 2015 and contemplating a January release.
Meanwhile it is worth remembering that Aascar Ravichandran was quoted earlier saying Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam 2, which is also under post-production, will see the light of day before Uttama Villain. But, Aascar already has magnum-opus I lined-up for release in November. Kamal Haasan fans were eagerly expecting Uttama Villain to hit the screens on November 7th to coincide with Ulaganayagan’s birthday. Now, the uncertainty over the release dates of both Uttama Villain and Vishwaroopam looms large.
