Uriyadi fame Vijay Kumar likely to join Dhanush’s upcoming film D56

Actor Vijay Kumar, best known for his work with Uriyadi, is expected to be part of actor Dhanush’s upcoming film, tentatively titled D56, which will be directed by filmmaker Tamizharasan Pachamuthu. The project is currently in its early stages of development, with pre-production work already underway.

Vijay Kumar, recently hinted at his involvement in the project through a social media interaction with the director. Tamizharasan had shared a poster of Vijay Kumar’s upcoming film Arivu and wished him success. In response, the actor thanked him and remarked that he would complete his ongoing commitments before joining the director for D56, indirectly suggesting that he could be part of the cast.

Adding to the conversation, Tamizharasan Pachamuthu reportedly invited the actor to meet him in Madurai, further fueling speculation that Vijay Kumar may play a role in the upcoming film. However, the makers have not yet officially announced the complete cast of the project.

The film will mark Tamizharasan Pachamuthu’s next directorial venture after his debut film Lubber Pandhu. Earlier reports had suggested that Dhanush might collaborate with director Mari Selvaraj for his 56th film, but that project requires a larger creative and technical preparation, which led to a delay in its schedule.

Meanwhile, Tamizharasan recently confirmed that location scouting for D56 has begun by sharing a photograph from a temple during the recce. With pre-production progressing, more details about the film’s title, storyline, and additional cast members are expected to be revealed in the coming months.

Dhanush had earlier expressed excitement about the project, which is expected to begin production once the initial groundwork is completed.
