Udhaynidhi Stalin opens up on Thunivu – Varisu competition for Pongal

The next big event in Tamil cinema will definitely be the arrival of the two most awaited films for Pongal 2023 in Varisu and Thunivu. Both the films are slated for a release for Pongal 2023, and the excitement amidst the fans is huge for sure. In a recent interview, Udhaynidhi Stalin has spoken about both Varisu and Thunivu, and the situation from Red Giant’s side as of now.

“As of now, we have bought the rights of Thunivu alone. Varisu has not come to us, though we may do a few areas if offered. If we release both Thunivu and Varisu, we will definitely have an equal split between theatres,” said the actor-producer who is looking forward to the reactions for his upcoming film Kalagathalaivan which hits the screens on 18th November.
