Udhayanidhi Stalin lauds Amy Jackson’s commitment

Speaking at the press meet of Gethu, Udhayanidhi Stalin lauded the commitment of Amy Jackson, who is pairing up with him for the first time in the film. “I know Amy from the Madrasapattinam days itself since Red Giant released the film. We were supposed to team up for a different film earlier and photoshoot too was done but later we decided to do Gethu first and Amy liked this script and gave her dates. She plays Nandhini in the film and has done a cute role. The first half has a beautiful romance track and we believe it has worked out well,” said Udhay.

“Right from the first day, she used to get the dialogues in English, understand and memorize it thoroughly. Next day, she used to come and finish everything in single takes. Her dedication has only made her work in big-ticket projects. We shot our songs in Cherrapunji over 10 days. We travelled a lot and we used to stay in a different hotel each day. If it were for other heroines, I’m sure they would have gone back in five days. I thank Amy for her cooperation,”added Udhay.

Gethu is set to hit cinemas on January 14th, 2015 for Pongal.
