“Thozha is a life-changing experience for me,” says Nagarjuna

Speaking at the press meet of Thozha, Nagarjuna Akkineni said yesterday that the film was a life-changing experience for him. “I play a quadriplegic billionaire, who is confined to a wheelchair throughout the film. My entire family including Amala was against this wheelchair-bound role. They said they can’t see me like this. Akhil and Chaitanya loved the original film The Intouchables but they were not convinced to see me in this role. I hope they all come and hug me after watching this heartwarming film and my performance,” said Nagarjuna.

I’m so excited, nervous and waiting for the film to release on March 25th. I feel certain films have a soul of their own. Thozha is one such film. It’s an adaptation, not a remake. Thozha is not a landmark film for me but a life-changing one. It has opened new doors for me in many ways,” Nagarjuna added.

Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, Thozha also stars Karthi and Tamannah in important roles. The film is all set for release on March 25th.
