After alleged rumors that editor Kola Baskar threatened Selva that he will commit suicide if the latter doesn’t finish Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam on time, Gitanjali Selvaraghavan has opened up about the issue. “The movie is almost complete except for a few patchwork shots and two song sequences. Even as we speak, I am shooting for MNM at Baba House. We have not been shooting for a while since the producer did not have the funds. Now that pending payments have been cleared, we have started with a montage song,” says Gitanjali.
“This is my first baby as a director and these rumours hurt and upset me. And why drag Selva into the picture? In fact, he did not take any remuneration for his story and did it as a favour to Kola Bhaskar,” she added.
