Actor and television personality Monisha Blessy, known for her appearance on Cooku With Comali (CWC) and roles in Maaveeran and Coolie, has officially confirmed her participation in Thalapathy Vijay’s final film, Jana Nayagan. Sharing her excitement in a recent interaction, Monisha called it a dream come true.
“Everyone dreams of working with Vijay sir and Rajini sir. When I saw The GOAT in theatres, I thought I’d missed the chance to work with Vijay sir, since he was about to retire. So, when I got the call for Jana Nayagan, I honestly thought it was a prank. Though it’s a small role, I’m happy and honoured to be part of his last film,” she said.
The buzz around Jana Nayagan continues to build. Editor Pradeep E Ragav, who is working on the film, recently teased fans with a glimpse into what they can expect:
“Jana Nayagan has many exciting elements. It’s coming out really well. 100% Vijayism is guaranteed, and you’ll witness it fully. Even I’m waiting to watch it,” he shared.
Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan boasts a star-studded cast including Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Prakash Raj, Priya Mani, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Menon, and Narain. With music by Anirudh, the film is set for a massive worldwide release on January 9th, 2026.
Fans can expect the first single to drop later this month, with the official teaser expected to release on Diwali, making the countdown to Vijay’s farewell film even more thrilling.
