Suriya reveals his six-pack fitness secret

Suriya is one of those handsome hunks who steals a million hearts when he flaunts his sexy six-pack abs on screen. But, the actor had undergone a punishing diet regime to accomplish the same. Suriya’s most arduous fitness routine came when he had to sport a six-pack in Gautham Menon’s Vaaranam Ayiram. “I lost 10 kg in 22 days for it. I won’t recommend that regimen to anyone. I tried the General Motors diet, Atkins diet… I had to do the crash dieting to develop that six pack, but I don’t recommend it to anybody,” says Suriya.

“My daily fitness routine is a combination of food and exercise. I do a mix of jogging and swimming and add a bit of yoga, as Jo (wife Jyothika) believes in it. I avoid maida and all fried food. I’ve also almost given up rice; I eat just a few spoonfuls. I’ve also stopped meat for a year now. I substitute it with paneer and milk products for protein intake,” adds Suriya.
