Suriya opts out of Vanangaan due to creative differences

In a surprising turn, it has now been announced by director Bala that Suriya has opted out of Vanangaan following differences with the director after changes in the script. The director also feels that Suriya will not suit the film hereon, and has decided to continue with another actor.

2D Entertainment have also backed out of Vanangaan as producers, and further decisions on the project will be taken by director Bala very soon. Suriya will now fully focus on his Suriya42 with director Siva, and will then move onto Vaadi Vaasal with director Vetrimaaran.
