At the grand pre-release event of Mass Jathara held in Hyderabad, Suriya heaped praise on Telugu superstar Ravi Teja, celebrating his wide-ranging popularity that transcends linguistic boundaries.
Taking the stage, Suriya lauded Ravi Teja’s unmatched energy and mass appeal, remarking, “If explosive energy had a human form, it would be Ravi Teja garu.” He further highlighted the actor’s rare ability to make ordinary characters appear extraordinary on screen, a quality that has earned him a devoted following across South India.
Suriya went on to note how Ravi Teja’s films enjoy strong viewership even in Tamil Nadu. “Even here in Tamil Nadu, your movies are watched without subtitles or dubbing. That’s the kind of power you command,” he said, acknowledging the star’s natural connect with audiences beyond the Telugu-speaking states.
Suriya also credited Ravi Teja for his indirect contribution to Tamil cinema, recalling how the Telugu hit Vikramarkudu, remade as Siruthai in Tamil became a major breakthrough for his brother Karthi. “That film gave Karthi’s career a huge boost, and for that, we’ll always be thankful,” Suriya added with warmth.
Concluding his address, Suriya expressed his excitement for the upcoming release, predicting that October 31st would turn into a celebration for fans across regions: “It won’t just be Mass Jathara, it will be Ravi Te-Jathara.”
