Suriya’s milestone 50th film is already creating buzz, with multiple possibilities being discussed as the actor moves ahead with an exciting lineup.

The filmmaker has already collaborated with Suriya on Etharkkum Thunindhavan. Pandiraj also has a commitment with Karthi under Suriya’s Zhagaram Studios. Karthi is expected to begin that project after wrapping up his ongoing film with Kalyan Shankar and Marshal. However, it remains to be seen whether Pandiraj will eventually take charge of Suriya’s 50th film.
Another name in the discussion is Maniratnam. The ace filmmaker is currently directing Inji Vellam with Vijay Sethupathi & Sai Pallavi. There is buzz that Suriya could reunite with Maniratnam for his milestone film. The project could also mark a bigger collaboration between the actor and director.
RJ Balaji is another filmmaker linked to Suriya 50. He recently delivered the biggest success of Suriya’s career with Karuppu. Their successful collaboration has led to speculation that RJ Balaji could direct Suriya once again. This time, the project could be the actor’s 50th film.
It is worth mentioning here that Lokesh Kanagaraj has also entered the Suriya 50 discussion. Recent reports claim that Lokesh could direct the milestone project. There is also speculation that the film could be connected to his popular Rolex character from the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. There have also been earlier reports about Nelson Dilipkumar being approached for Suriya’s 50th film. This adds another name to the growing list of possibilities around the project.
For now, the Suriya 50 director remains unconfirmed. Pandiraj, Maniratnam, RJ Balaji, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Nelson Dilipkumar are among the names being discussed.
